Sustainable Solutions for Infrastructure and Construction
Advantages
A floor finish based on polyurethane cement - such as UCRETE, Crete PU or PurCem - offers exceptional resistance to aggressive chemicals, extreme mechanical resistance and reliable temperature change resistance. Thus Polyurethane cement flooring excellent resistance to thermal shock from steam cleaning, for example.
- Exceptional chemical and mechanical resistance
- Reliable temperature change resistance
- Odorless and solvent-free
- Homogeneous and seamless
- Heavy duty
Polyurethane and cement
As the name suggests, polyurethane cement is a screed consisting of a mix of polyurethane and cement. The homogeneous and seamless flooring systems are heavy-duty, odorless, solvent-free and available in a limited number of colors.
The polyurethane (PU) cement floors shown above are used in the food, beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The floor surface is impermeable due to its high density and can withstand temperatures up to 120 °C at a layer thickness of 9 mm.
Lifetime polyurethane cement
Polyurethane cement floor systems meet the most stringent hygiene and cleaning requirements and are ideally suited in locations where a robust floor with a long service life is required. With staff safety in mind, skid resistance and anti-slip values are also adjustable as required.
This not only makes the floor safer for pedestrians, but also increases traction and stability for vehicles. This makes the floor less prone to slipping and reduces accidents in the parking garage.
Polyurethane cement in renovations
An important advantage over other resin-bonded flooring systems is that polyurethane cement screed can be applied to a damp substrate which is a huge advantage in renovations.
Polyurethane cement is also easy to clean and maintain. The smoothness of the floor allows for easy and efficient cleaning, so the floor always looks neat. Moreover, the floor is also hygienic, which is important in an environment where many vehicles come and go.
Sustainable
One of the greatest advantages of polyurethane cement is its durability. It resists wear and damage from heavy traffic loads, offering a long service life. In addition, it is also resistant to liquids, oil and other chemicals, making it ideal for use in parking garages where these factors may be present.
